Jay J. Butler has over 40 years of experience in financial services with a focus on finance and operations. Jay joined The Forge Companies in 2017 as a member of the Board and has been asked to take on broader responsibilities as the companies have grown. Jay currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of The Forge Companies and Chief Executive Officer of Advocacy Trust, with responsibility for coordinating the business activities between The Forge Companies' insurance, wealth, and trust businesses.

 

Jay started his career with the Coast Guard, serving for 11 years in active and reserve units. He worked for Price Waterhouse in their consulting division focusing on merger integration for financial firms. Jay then joined what was then NCNB (now Bank of America) and moved through progressive assignment, ending his career with Bank of America as the Group Executive for Technology and Operations for the Global Corporate Bank. Jay received his undergraduate degree from the United States Coast Guard Academy, and his MBA from Arizona State University.
