Mr. Komrska is the General Manager and a Settlement Consultant for Forge Consulting. As the General Manager, Mr. Komrska oversees the operations of the company and assists with managing the growth and personnel across the firm on a day to day basis. In addition, Mr. Komrska reviews and prepares complex personal injury and wrongful death settlements for clients across the country including attending mediations, evaluating and preserving government benefits, Medicare Set Aside analysis, subrogation, family and injured needs analysis, Qualified Settlement Fund strategy, and financial planning. Management of the settlement process including the development of strategy and implementation of how settlement proceeds are to be disbursed according to the needs and desires of the injured are core duties of Mr. Komrska.

As an advocate for the injured and the attorneys that represent them, Mr. Komrska regularly speaks to trial attorneys through trial lawyer associations including the Ohio Association of Justice, the Central Ohio Association for Justice, and the Utah Association of Justice in regards to settlement planning issues and strategies to help plaintiffs and their recoveries. Client education and evaluating options for the form of the settlement are of paramount importance to protect plaintiffs and their access to government programs and health care.

As the former Director of The Settlement Services Group, he was responsible for managing all personnel and operations, product development, marketing and promotional activities, client relationships, and fulfilling services for the settlement community.

Prior to joining Forge Consulting and The Settlement Services Group, Steve worked in the Garretson Firm Resolution Group within the Lien Resolution Center based in Charlotte, NC. Steve directed the commercial operations of the firm focused on marketing activities related to client integration of resolution efforts involving Medicare, Medicaid, private health and ERISA subrogation issues for personal injury settlements.

Steve’s background includes extensive experience in the financial services industry since 1990. He has directly or in-directly managed hundreds of millions of dollars of investment assets for institutional and personal clients, including wealth management and comprehensive financial planning with all types of asset classes. He received his Undergraduate Degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and his Master’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati. In addition, Steve has received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and resides in Cincinnati with his wife and three children.
