Kent Davis graduated from North Georgia College with a degree in Finance. He later received his MBA from Jacksonville State University and retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2008 with more than 20 years of service. Kent served as a logistics officer in a diverse mixture of units throughout a distinguished career. These positions ranged from Comptroller for the 902d Military Intelligence Group, to Coalition Forces Land Component Command at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, to serving as the Deputy Comptroller for U.S. Army South. Kent's experience and interaction with the world's military leaders such as the Kuwait Ministry of Defense, briefing senior finance staff on the budget status and related financial issues key to the changing military and political landscape, define his abilities and capacity.

After retiring from the Army, Kent worked as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Battelle Memorial Institute, supporting the U.S. Army Asymmetric Warfare Office and later as a Contracting Officer's Representative for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. Here, he was charged with the management of a five-year, $452 million defense contract supporting literally thousands of people in locations in five continents. This career was put on hold as he fought and survived cancer. After his fight, Kent set his sights on the accounting profession and the CPA designation. He passed the CPA exam in the fall of 2009 and recently was awarded the CPA designation after fulfilling the experience requirements by the State of Kentucky. Kent's analytical mind and passion for tax work help Forge clients make better informed settlement design decisions every day.

Kent and his wife, Sue, an active duty Army LTC, have two children. Sue and Kent volunteer time as youth soccer coaches. Kent is also involved in the IRS VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) helping low income families across the state of Kentucky. The Davis family attends Bethel United Methodist Church in Brandenburg, Kentucky.
